Yoga is 5,000 years old. Many people are first drawn to Yoga as a way to keep their minds and bodies fit while others come seeking help or relief for a specific health issue. Yoga strengthens the spine, internal organs and all the systems of the body, increases flexibility, body-mind awareness, and improves posture. Yoga is more than just physical poses; it includes stress release, positive attitude, awareness practices and relaxation. Yoga can change your life! To truly realize all the benefits derived from Yoga, you need to experience it yourself. Anyone can practice Yoga!

The Purpose of Yoga is to completely relax, tone and revitalize the entire system and help you control and relax the mind.

The Goal of Yoga is to have a body of perfect health and strength, a mind with all clarity and calmness, an intellect as sharp as a razor, a will as pliable as steel, a heart full of love and compassion, a life full of dedication and realization of the True Self.

Yoga is a marriage of body, mind and spirit.

The Foundations of Therapeutic Yoga…

Text Box: Namaste...I honor the place within you where the entire universe dwells, which is the purest of peace and joy, love and light. When you are

in that place in you and I am in that place in me, We Are One.

Asatho Maa Sath Gamaya
Thamaso Maa Jyothir Gamaya
Mrithyor Maa Amrutham Gamaya
Om Shanti, Shanti, Shanti
Means...Lead us from the unreal to the Real
Lead us from darkness to the Light
Lead us from death to Immortality
                Om Peace, Peace, Peace

Lokaa Samastaa Sukino Bhavanthu
Means… May all of creation be filled with peace and joy, love and light.

1. Creation: The “au” (pronounced “ah”) vibrates the lower part of the body,, represented by Brahma (creator) & Saraswati (knowledge, wisdom, learning)

2. Preservation: The “oh” vibrates the trunk of the body, represented by Vishnu (preserver) & Lakshmi (wealth, prosperity, abundance)

3. Destruction of Limitation: The “m” vibrates the head. The tip of the tongue should be placed at the roof of the mouth. The “m” should be held three times as long as both the “au” and the “oh” together, represented by Shiva (destruction of creation/ignorance) & Shakti (energy).

Aum...the sound of creation. Chanting magnetically reprograms the cells in our bodies to resonate at the frequency they were designed to resonate at, creating perfect health. Chanting massages the sinus cavities and the glands and organs located in the skull.
